Job 2

Satan, speaking to God...
"Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has?"

Job 1:10 (NIV)

God placed a spiritual hedge over Job and all he had - the basis for Satan's argument that Job loved God only because of His favor. God gave Satan permission to touch everything but Job himself to prove that Job's allegiance to Him was not dependent on His blessing.
